1. All dogs must be licensed. $10.00 per year.

2. All dogs must wear a collar to which the license tag is attached.

3. No dog shall be allowed to run at large.

4. No dog shall be permitted to create a noise or disturbance to the annoyance or discomfort of other persons residing in the neighborhood or to the public at large.

5. No dog shall be permitted to defecate on any public or private property other than the property of its owner; the owner of the dog shall cause such defecation to be removed immediately and dispose of it in a sanitary fashion.
   If you are served a notice of violation for any of the above, the fine payable is:
   $ 50.00 for a first offense
   $100.00 for a second offense in same calendar year
   $200.00 for a third offense and thereafter in same calendar year.
   

6. Any impounded dog shall be subject to the following redemption costs:
   $100.00 for a first offense
   $200.00 for a second offense in same calendar year
   $500.00 for a third offense and thereafter in same calendar year.
   PLUS the current costs per day charged by the pound.

7. The following are prohibited dogs and will not be allowed in Lipton:
   Pit Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull and Terrier Pit Bull
   Any dog of mixed breeding, identified as dog of a partial mix of any of the above indicated breeds or kinds.

   If you fail to remove a dog of one of the above breeds from the Village of Lipton, when served notice to do so; you will be liable to a penalty of $100.00 for every day during which such failure continues.

8. No person shall be permitted to harbor more than two dogs at any time within Lipton.
